Email/Social/Event Marketing

Witnessing the impact and success of BuiltHOW provided me with a deepened passion for event marketing and social media engagement. During my time at PLACE, I identified opportunities to increase engagement with our events and podcast brand BuiltHOW.

With two live events scheduled for 2023 and no marketing comms planned, I jumped right into this project. I began building an event activation calendar and executing email and social media campaigns to increase brand engagement and registration. Below I’ve shared a few of the social media posts I crafted.

I developed the campaign content around generating hype for speaker announcements, vendor partnerships, ticket promotions, giveaways, and conference session titles. I submitted design briefs and collaborated with our design and media team to generate deliverables for our campaigns.

Not only did I get to work behind the scenes for this brand but I also had the opportunity to bring energy to the event itself– covering social media, boosting attendee engagement, and encouraging user-generated content.

Key Insights and Results

  • Increased followers by over 200% in less than 1 year

  • Grew event registration from 300 to 2,000 attendees

  • Generated 200+ tagged posts and 150+ tagged stories throughout the 3-day event

  • Created Hubspot workflow to enroll webinar and event attendees into the BuiltHOW email sequence – grew email subscription list by 280%.

The BuiltHOW brand entered into a partnership with Brivity to co-host a special event offering both Brivity LIVE and BuiltHOW LIVE ticket options for Brivity customers. In this collaboration, I worked closely with the web development team to conceptualize the layout and provide engaging copy for the landing page, ensuring cohesive messaging and an enticing experience for attendees interested in both Brivity and BuiltHOW offerings.
